Unique Customer Problem

  • A customer approached AJB requiring a robust polling application to be able to handle the sending and receiving of their files from across the world, as well as a reliable authorization solution for global electronic payment processing
  • An additional requirement was requested, the need to maintain extremely high nightly polling rates
  • To solve this distinct problem the customer needed a solution to be delivered quickly and efficiently

AJB’s Solution

  • AJB delivered several Retail Polling Module (RPM) servers in multiple locations to handle the large number of file movements which exceed 80,000 file transfers on a nightly basis
  • AJB deployed four RPM polling servers and two file servers which schedule and maintain the applicable downloads
  • RPM allows services, such as credit and debit transactions a guaranteed share of the network bandwidth to ensure rapid customer service, RPM gives merchants flexibility in their application of polling
  • The four RPM polling servers are all part of a clustered environment, where each server would be able to perform all of the file transfers requested
  • Due to high mandatory polling rates, the four system configuration was implemented which allows the merchant an incredible 95% polling success rate covering the entire North American, Australian and European market space each night
  • Retail Transaction Switch (RTS) authorization modules were implemented providing real-time authorization for a variety of transaction types from numerous sources
  • The customer was provided with the means of a smooth and quick transition to the new polling capabilities due to AJB’s premium product suite
  • AJB delivered on all of this customer’s requirements by automating the movement of transactional messages as well as the movement of large volumes of data
