Unique Customer Problem

  • A customer approached AJB requiring that all 12,500+ Points-of-Sale (POS lanes) be concentrated into a single authorization point providing a quick and robust payment gateway
  • The customer mandated that any POS changes should be minimal or not existent during the project
  • To solve this problem the customer needed a solution to be delivered successfully allowing the business to continue uninterrupted

AJB’s Solution

  • AJB implemented the Flexible Integrated Payment System (FiPay) PIN solution
  • FiPay PIN allowed this merchant to use a proven and certified debit and credit integrator within their POS
  • FiPay PIN enabled the POS system to communicate with each PIN Pad device operating at every store lane, all of their retail lanes are serviced by the in-store processor providing a single connection from the store to the RTS
  • A centrally located Retail Transaction Switch (RTS) was deployed to concentrate the thousands of lanes into two focal points
  • A dual authorization system was selected to offer this merchant a redundant RTS location which was installed in two separate locations for Disaster Recovery Program (DRP) purposes
  • One single RTS is capable of serving the entire restaurant chain allowing this merchant to continue to serve millions of customers daily
  • The customer was provided a solution that greatly increased their customer service by providing a convenient and quick means of accepting payment using credit, debit and gift card on every lane
  • AJB’s team of experienced payment industry specialists worked with this merchant to design an optimal solution exceeding every need
