Unique Customer Problem

  • A customer approached AJB about developing a hotel decrement / increment payment switch in a short time period
  • An additional requirement was requested -- the need to employ a centralized signature capture retrieval repository capability for settlement, including the capability of attaching signature to an electronic receipt
  • To solve this problem the customer needed an integrated solution to be fully functional within a strict time frame

AJB’s Solution

  • AJB provided the overall solution in three key phases
  • Phase one, starting at the Point-of-Sale (POS) level, AJB integrated store level Flexible Integrated Payment System (FiPay) to work with a PIN Pad device capable of capturing the signature for a credit card charge
  • FiPay was implemented for this merchant due to its flexibility allowing for easy integration with multiple host applications
  • The second phase of the solution was the installation the Retail Transaction Switch (RTS) which offered the ability for direct connection to the card issuers as well as the ability to decrement and increment credit card charges
  • The final phase of the solution was the installation of the AJB Settlement Module providing the customer with the means to centrally process and settle daily credit card transactions
  • AJB’s Settlement system populates the database with the image captured by the PIN Pad/Signature Capture device, which was easily configured and modified to meet this merchant’s needs
  • The customer was provided a custom solution where any settled transaction provides their Head Office with all the transaction details in addition to the signature image, which is available centrally to be recalled
  • AJB provided this customer with premium solution that allowed all settlement needs to be successfully fulfilled
