Unique Customer Problem

  • A customer approached AJB requiring their payment authorization functions be moved away from its existing Legacy mainframe to a new network
  • The customer requested a seamless solution that caused no changes at the store end during the project
  • To solve this problem the customer needed a solution to be delivered successfully allowing the business to operate uninterrupted during the transition to the AJB solution

AJB’s Solution

  • AJB implemented multiple Retail Transaction Switch (RTS) Authorization networks that authorize transactions to the corporation’s many financial processors
  • The RTS servers also have connections to Host Security Modules (HSM) that handle key exchanges for debit transactions
  • Multiple RTS’ were implemented to provide this merchant the required redundancy that is offered via a multi RTS environment
  • AJB was able to adapt the RTS to be able to accept incoming messages from the existing Legacy Point of Sale (POS) which meant no changes at the store level
  • As the customer proceeded with the new POS roll out using AJB’s Retail Transaction Switch, the customer was able to communicate with the old and new POS systems to perform authorization requests
  • The customer was provided with the means of a seamless and speedy transition to the new authorization network due to AJB’s scalability and comprehensive product suite
  • AJB worked directly with this merchant to understand their unique operating environment, including both hardware and software configuration and implemented a quality customized solution
