Unique Customer Problem

• A customer with an existing POS infrastructure approached AJB requiring a central switch to handle payment processing
• The customer mandated that any POS changes should be minimal or not existent during the project
• To solve this problem the customer needed a solution to be delivered successfully allowing the business to continue uninterrupted

AJB’s Solution

• AJB installed a dual Retail Transaction Switch (RTS) configuration, which featured a Front End Processor (FEP)
• The custom developed FEP, acts as a translator and is capable of accepting an authorization request in the message format native to the Point-of-Sale (POS)
• Payment redundancy protection was provided to this merchant using a multiple RTS configuration protecting them from system outages allowing their business to continue uninterrupted
• Utilizing RTS’s redundancy capabilities, AJB delivered a fully redundant authorization system with a Front End Processor that was able to eliminate any changes to be made on the POS chain wide
• The customer was provided a solution that retained all current POS functionality with the addition of the custom AJB FEP process
