AJB Pioneers a New Pump Solution
AJB Software Design is building a Canadian “EMV” solution that encompasses Interac debit, and other credit and stored value(gift) cards for the retail petroleum industry. The new solution enables cost effective retrofitting of existing automated fuel dispensers (AFD) with new “EMV” devices that are integrated with AJB’s new fuel pump solution. The new solution retains legacy fuel dispensing components by implementing a new payment terminal at the pump that can process payments, display digital video, and play digital audio. Petroleum and convenience store vendors can now process chip, RFID and magnetic stripe card based payments with Interac and EMV compliance. Locations covered by the new EMV solution include “pay-at-pump” automated fuel dispensers, kiosk point of sale (POS), vending machines, ticketing machines and drive-thru lanes.
AJB’s new software disentangles the legacy pump environment with the Interac certified payment terminal solution. The new solution is easy to retrofit into an existing pump environment to handle all consumer interactions, receipt printing and communications with the legacy POS for fuel control.
